In all these years I have spent in the photography industry, I can assure you that the right color combinations and styles make a difference.

Here are some of my favorite fall season colors and outfit styles that pop out when photographed.

The Tan and Neutral Color Ideas

This one is a deal-breaker for sure. The contemporary color ideas in this scheme will steal the show because nothing says fall and sophistication like pairing the light beige mélange ribbed leggings with a cream drawstring top from H&M.

If you are going for a high-end chic look, then the perfect piece for you will be the beige pants with a fabric-covered belt from ZARA. What a stunning look!

How can we forget the style that three quartered sleeves offer during the fall season! It provides a modern yet classic touch to your outfit, especially the black silk ribbed top from ZARA. You can pair it with their stylish wide-legged trousers and Leather heels too.

As for the gents, you guys can pair a nice cream or beige shirt with H&M’s relaxed Blue jeans

The Bolder Side

Here is a color combination that will speak to every location. Maroons and browns will be perfect for mountains and rural areas. It is the perfect timeless look when navy blue is added to it.

You can get your hands on the navy blue long match dress from ZARA or go for a classic maroon V neck blouse from H&M. If you want your kids to feel endlessly comfortable during the shoot, too, then the cotton jersey dress can make it work. These white sneakers from ZARA will be loved by your boys for sure while adding to their overall autumn look. These oval sunglasses can add a hint of style and fun to your child’s face too!

Let’s Get Dressier

There is no harm in getting a bit dressy for a fall family shoot. These pictures will stick with you for a long time, and you might as well do your best. A snap-front shirt or a plaid shirt-jacket from GAP will look stunning.

The high raise barrel joggers will also give a dressy-casual mix feeling if you get them in green or brown tones.

Mustards Never Disappoint

Mustard tones are my favorite. They pop better than anything when paired with blue or cream.  And let’s not forget that these yellow shades come perfectly in all photographs and work well with multiple locations. So go for a sleeve tie front from Target, or check out a couple of lovely dresses to go with the photoshoot. Accessories like a nice tote bag or yellow scarf from ZARA will finish the look.

Fall is all about black, cream, caramel, grey, and maroon highlights. So keep it simple yet stunning. Get a couple of high-heeled boots, belts, bags, and scarves to complement your outfit. V neck shirts, blouses, and casual dresses go well with the season too! Finally, get yourself a couple of pencil skirts and wide-legged trousers to pose for the shoot confidently!
